Karen Desoto Talks About New Law in New Jersey

Karen Desoto talks about new law in New Jersey called the New Jersey International Arbitration, Mediation, and Conciliation

Signed into law by Governor Chris Christie on February 7, 2017, the law is result of efforts of the despartment of applied research at the Institute of Dispute Resolution.

Karen was instrumental as the co-founder of Institute of Dispute Resolution whre she serves as its co-director along with David Weiss.

The Act allows certain nonprofits in the state of New Jersey to establish alternative dispute resolution centers. to facilitate the resolution of international business and trade disputes through arbitration, mediation or conciliation.

Karen Desoto Talks About New Law in New Jersey

According to an article in The Hudson Reporter he law “was in part based on  the protocols hat were established in an agreement kwown as ‘ The New York Convention’ from the 1950s, with 117 nations (including the U.S.) participating and signing it.”
